    Hi olddobson thanks for getting back. Yes you are right about Carrick Road, it woud have been my dad Jack or his brother Charlie you remembered. Used to visit my grandparents in the 70s prior to that community hall being built.

    Why oh why was this ugly building allowed to be put here. I'm sure Harry Heaney would have raised merry hell at the prospect of this ugly centre disfiguring what was once a lovely outlook from both Carrick Rd and Mill Street.
